This quilt has been on my to-do list for the past few months, ever since we checked out the book “Mooshka” from the library.
It’s about a quilt that talks. One day I saw the “Mooshka” line of fabrics for sale on Winter Creek Cloth and we were on our way to making our own.
It is a little smaller than a full size. Probably should have overrode my daughter’s decision to put the blue hst in the corner, but oh well, she helped and it’s her quilt.
I love a pieced back. The backing fabrics are mostly other prints from earlier Julie Paschkis lines that I got on clearance. Hearts, butterflies, birds, and roses…the perfect combination!
Darling quilt! I like the matching corner. It makes it interesting!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a mother daughter finish! I have not seen this line of fabrics before, they are very pretty. I especially like the red where your label is and the larger print to the right on the back.
ReplyDeleteI am normally not a big fan of blue, but I love the blue border print also!
What a fun project! And I think its great that you left it as your daughter wanted!
ReplyDeleteJamie, that's just so adorable you were able to replicate that quilt. It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute quilt. You daughter will love it more because you let her design it. That was a great mom decision!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! And does it talk to you? Or only to your daughter?
ReplyDeleteOhh that is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful project for you and your daughter! It's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteNice! I love Julie's books.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love that your kids get into sewing with you!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that book but I'm going to look in our library so my grandchildren can read it - love your quilt! blessings, marlene
